Kashan Devi Vincent, a 26 year old New Zealand based singer is claiming she is entitled to 1/3 of the estate of the late Paul Hester. Vincent has claimed to have been Hester’s fiancé and says she terminated a pregnancy of which he was the father. She has sought $100,000, possessions belonging to him (including his collection of valuable musical instruments) and 1/3 of his estate.

It is estimated Hester’s estate was worth $872,699. His Elwood home sold earlier this year for $1.24 million, less agent’s fees of $56,795, according to the suit.

Hester lived in the Melbourne suburb of Elwood with his girlfriend Mardi Somerfeld and their two daughters. He hanged himself in a park in Elwood on March 26, 2005. He was best known as the drummer for Crowded House, and for a short time Split Enz. He was the host of the Max Sessions at the time of his death.
