Man Bites Dog (well man actually but dog works better)

Axl Rose has spent a day in jail after allegedly biting a security guard on the leg outside his Stockholm hotel.

The Guns N’ Roses frontman had performed in the Swedish capital on Monday night, with a scuffle breaking out at the hotel around 8am Tuesday morning. Police spokeswoman Towe Hagg told Associated Press that Rose appeared intoxicated at the time of his arrest. “He was deemed too intoxicated to be questioned right away,” she said.

Rose was released from jail late Tuesday evening, after agreeing to pay a fine of $5,500, as well as over $1,000 in damages to the security guard.

Rose made a statement not long after being released, claiming, “We had a great gig in Stockholm and I am not going to let this incident spoil that. My assistant Beta and I were talking in the lobby of the hotel when security started to give us a hard time. My only concern was to make sure she was ok.”

It is not believed that Swedish authorities will pursue the matter any further. Guns N’ Roses will perform their next show in Oslo on Wednesday.
