The Who Leeds Encore Series CD cancelled
As a follow up to the previous posting I just received this from The Music.com.
"Unfortunately the Leeds concert will not be available as part of the Encore CD series as originally planned and announced. A decision has been made by the band's record label (who allow the Encore CD Series to be sold for charitable purposes by the band) and management to reserve this concert and do a proper 48 track mix of it. Pete and Roger are hoping to make it available later this year, possibly as some kind of free bonus CD to coincide with the album release. Plans will be announced in due course. Please accept our apologies for this change in plans. We will keep you informed about the availability of this concert in future."
So both the audio and video of the gig are getting the official release treatment.
Can't say I wouldn't prefer a straight soundboard recording of the gig without any mixing but hey I think I'm being picky.
I'm getting used to gigs I went to airing on radio/TV/CD/DVD this year!!!
